Arsenal have been dealt a huge blow in their pursuit of Real Madrid talent Eduardo Camavinga. The Gunners were interested in taking the French midfielder on loan until the end of the season but it looks as though a move for the 20-year-old will not be happening after comments by the players agent and Carlo Ancelotti.

The Gunners will need to sign a midfielder to improve upon the depth in the middle of the park. Already being a Champions League winner, Camavinga was certainly a good option forMikel Arteta.

Despite an initial setback in Arsenals reported interest in the midfielder, the France international sent Edu a hint to attempt a deal via social media.

Camavingas agent, Joshua Barnett, has now revealed that there is no truth in reports linking his client with a move to the Emirates Stadium. Barnett told transfer guruFabrizio Romano: Theres no truth.

Of course every club in the world would want him. Hes very happy in Real Madrid and Real Madrid are very happy with Camavinga.

This was also backed up by Real Madrid managerCarlo Ancelottiwho said: He is untouchable. Like [Luka] Modric and like [Toni] Kroos.

Despite the playing down of a transfer,Camavingahimself has sent a transfer hint by liking an Instagram post that mentioned he was linked with a move to Arsenal.

Camavinga joined Real Madrid in the same summer that Odegaard left Los Blancos from Ligue 1 side Rennes but has struggled for game time since making the 27.7million switch. This had led to links with Arsenal this January, according to theEvening Standard.

It is certainly a deal that the Gunners could look to explore. But with Ancelotti expressing his importance to the team, it may prove difficult to get over the line.
